The Echo Dot is a smart speaker that is voice controlled. It connects to Alexa to play music, answer questions, tell the news, check the weather forecast, set alarms, control compatible digital Home devices and much more.

The built-in speaker delivers crisp, rich sound, and lets you stream songs through Amazon Music, Spotify Premium, TuneIn, and other services.

Call anyone with an Echo device or the Alexa app without lifting a finger. You also have the ability to use Drop In to connect to other rooms in your home where you have a compatible Echo device.

Alexa updates automatically through the Cloud, constantly learning and adding new functionality.

Skills are like apps that help you get the most out of your device. You can use them, for example, to know what they put on TV today, get a recipe or have fun with games.

Thanks to the 4 long-range microphones, Alexa can hear you from across the room. Also, if you have Echo devices spread across several rooms, you can fill your entire house with music.

You can connect the Echo Dot to your own speakers using Bluetooth or a 3.5mm cable to listen to music.

Wifi connectivity
Dual-band Wi-Fi compatible with 802.11a / b / g / n networks (2.4 and 5 GHz). It is not compatible with wifi ad hoc networks (peer-to-peer).
Bluetooth connectivity

Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for streaming audio from your mobile device to the Echo Dot or from the Echo Dot to your Bluetooth speaker. Audio and Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) for voice control of connected mobile devices. Voice control is not supported on Mac OS X devices.

Bluetooth speakers that require a PIN code are not supported.

System Requirements

The Echo Dot is delivered ready for you to connect to the Wi-Fi network. The Alexa app is compatible with Fire OS, Android and iOS devices. It is also available through your computer's web browser. Certain services and Skills are subject to change and may not be available in all regions and may require additional subscriptions or fees.
